Description The goal is to increase women's participation in economic activities especially in poor communities, thereby increasing the community's country's productivity and achieving more inclusive economic growth. The project will work with various partners in preparing pre feasibilty and or feasibility level protect proposals (including for technical assistance capacity building) for developing women led business in poor communities. Preference will be given to locations where these investments may complement other ADB investments such as rural roads and water resource development.
Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy ADB's country partnership strategies for the focus countries reflect the need and commitment to provide policy and program support in agriculture and natural resource management, rural development, and private sector development in varying degrees.

DMC officials and ADB staff gain knowledge about effective ways to promote women's collective efforts as entrepreneurs A regional conference was held in September in Dushanbe to present and discuss the findings of the project and identify entry points to improve opportunities for rural women entrepreneurs.

All project activities have been concluded in 2010. The situational analysis on constraints and opportunities of rural women entrepreneurs was done in Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The reports as well as the first draft of the comparative analysis ofthe three counrtries were presented at the conference "Women Entrepreneurship" in September 2010 in Dushanbe.The draft report - Comparative Analysis Report on Regional Womens Entrepreneurship in Central - is undergoing final revision for final submission to ADB together with the final project proposals.

Stakeholder Participation and Consultation
During Project Design During TA fact-finding mission, discussions with the governments, development partners, and civil society organizations at central and provincial, and district levels confirmed the relevance of the proposed activities, impact, outcome, outputs, implementation arrangements, cost estimates, financing arrangements and terms of reference.

Work with women's development agencies and institutions, women business associations, government agencies, NGOs, business development service (BDS) providers, and other development partners in preparing a long list of potential investment and capacity building projects.
