| The impact of the initiative is to increase energy efficiency in the DMCs through ADB operations. The overall outcome will be an expansion and closer integration of EE projects in ADB operations. For the SSTA, the impact will be an assimilation of important inputs for improving EE in DMCs. The outcome of the SSTA will be an understanding of the impact of EE on the economy and recommendations on how EE projects may be integrated in ADB's operations. | ||

| Preparation of paper on Transport, Energy Efficiency, and Climate Change |
Major change in scope to accommodate DFID funding was approved on 11 January 2006.
TA was extended to July 2007 to undertake additional work to explore linkages between energy efficiency and climate change in transport. TA completion date extended to 30 April 2008 to develop action plans for energy use and GHG emission mitigation through sustainable transport programs and policies. Consultant's Final Report "Visioning and Backcasting for Transport in India and Delhi" received in June 2008. This component is considered completed. |
