Description The proposed technical assistance will finance management and technical consultants to assist with detailed planning and implementation of power sector restructuring in Sri Lanka. The goals of power sector restructuring in Sri Lanka are to: (i) unbundle Ceylon Electricity Board into separate generation, transmission and distribution companies; (ii) prepare a new electricity act to support establishment of new power sector companies; and (iii) establish an independent regulatory agency to regulate the activities of the new power sector companies and the power sector.
