The project's objective is for stakeholders to have an improved understanding of which development strategies and policies are most effective in minimizing extreme business cycle fluctuations and achieving inclusive and sustained economic growth. Options for alternative development strategies and policies will be made available to policy makers and practitioners so that they may have an informed assessment of which among the various alternative development strategies would be relevant for their economies.

| Outputs and Timeframe |
The major output of the project will be policy guidelines and discussions with developing member country officials, followed by a publication summarizing the findings. The publication will focus on feasible development strategies for Asia that take into account the impacts of the global crisis and that ensure long-term sustainable development. The publication will comprise of region-wide and/or country-specific studies.
