Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy The Project will support the Government's Central Region Development Strategy and Infrastructure Stimulus Package. It is consistent with the objecive of ADB's PRC Country Partnership Strategy 2008-2010 which supports the inclusive growth and environmentally sustainable development.
Impact The impact of the Project will be an efficient and sustainable inland waterway transport system in Hunan Province brought about by the development of inland waterway infrastructure and the improvement of inland waterway transport services.
Outcome Project design and feasibility study upgraded to a level suitable for ADB financing and agreed by the Government and ADB.
Outputs and Timeframe The outputs of the PPTA will be the TA consultants' final reports which will include: (1) sector assessment and scoping, (ii) technical assessments, (iii) technical preparation of value-added components, and (iv) project design requirements.
